The Heritage Park Funeral Home

Grieving the loss of a loved one is never an easy matter for those left behind. Aside from having to deal with the emotional strain on a deeply personal and private level, family members and those close to the deceased also have to simultaneously deal with the often physically tiring and demanding rigors of arranging a wake. For unlike traditional wakes in Western cultures which are usually solemn, private and brief expressions of grief, Filipino wakes are more elaborate and public in nature, seeking the participation of as many of the deceased’s family and friends as possible. This can prove quite demanding, straining the limits, both physical and emotional of those concerned.

The Heritage Park recognizes the unique nature of Filipino memorialization traditions and has thus created 10 of the most elegant viewing chapels in the country’s memorial service industry. “Our Mortuary and Crematory was built to provide comfort for the bereaved,” says RMMI Chief, Jack Kidwilder. “It is our interpretation of a more relaxing stay in a mortuary and I think it’s the only one like this in Asia”, he further adds. Amenities and services have also been added to The Heritage Park’s mortuary to answer the unique cultural needs of Filipino traditions during funerals.

The Heritage Park Chapels are a marvel of function and design created with two goals in mind: the first, to guarantee the solemnity and serenity of the wake, and second, to ensure the comfort of the family and their guests.

Boasting of ten (10) elegantly designed viewing chapels with seating capacities ranging from sixty to more than two hundred people, these chapels are furnished with amenities unequalled in the local memorial service industry today. Each is equipped with its own elegant family room complete with living room, dining area, refrigerator, bathroom and cable TV. Room service could even be provided for if requested. Members of the immediate family of the deceased are also served breakfast, lunch and dinner for the duration of the wake.

This hotel-like ambiance which pervades in all the private family rooms is further enhanced with room service, making The Heritage Park’s mortuary truly unique. Meanwhile, guests and friends of the family looking for some refreshments or a light meal could opt for coffee or pastries served at the nearby coffee shop which is run and operated by Seattle’s Best.

Great lengths have been reached and no expense spared to ensure that tranquility is maintained in all our Chapels during the wake. Private patios, landscaped gardens, a serene brook, are just some of the many things that will greet visitors to our chapels. It our way of showing our commitment to help families cope with their loss, without worrying about the details of the funeral.
